MyBus from Thomas Built Buses High Point, USA – Thomas Built Buses, the school bus subsidiary of Daimler Trucks North America, has added a new product offering to its lineup. The new vehicle, “MyBus,” was designed specifically to fill the transportation needs of small groups and is particularly well suited for childcare centers, service organizations, small businesses, and other groups and clubs.
Thomas Built Buses’ MyBus is a Multi-Function Student Activity Bus (MFSAB). This category of the U.S. classification system meets the same Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard as school buses, except MFSABs are not required to have traffic control lights or to be yellow, which is mandatory in most U.S. states. Year after year, studies have shown that school buses (including MFSABs) are the safest form of transportation on the streets. “As a leader in the transportation industry, we are committed to designing and building innovative, safe, and reliable transportation in order to meet our customers’ needs when it comes to safety and comfort,” says John O’Leary, head of Thomas Built Buses.

The new vehicle is easy to maintain and durable enough to withstand the daily rigors of transporting children and adults. Its 73 inches of interior headroom, outward-opening entrance door, and wide aisle enable passengers to move around freely inside the bus.
MyBus is available in three models: the up-to 14 passenger SRW (single rear wheel), which does not require a bus driver’s license in most U.S. states; the up-to 20 passenger DRW (dual rear wheel) 041; and the up-to 30 passenger DRW 051.
