Следващият етап на усилията на Daimler да електрифицира превозните средства ще продължи през есента, когато започва строежа на нова фабрика за акумулатори. Тя ще бъде изградена с обща компания между Daimler и Evonik, като ще произвежда авансирани литиево йонни батерии. Първата фабрика на новата германска фирма Accumotive (German Accumotive GmbH & Co KG) ще бъде локализирана в Kamenz, североизточно от Dresden. Kamenz / Stuttgart / Essen: Daimler and Evonik launch the next stage of their strategic alliance for the electrification of the car: The German Accumotive GmbH & Co.
